How To Get Into Supermodel Shape

So what is supermodel shape? It's definitely not trying to diet so that you have a 24 inch waist. IT'S A HEALTHY SHAPE THAT IS PERFECT FOR YOU!

Here's How:
1. Drink more water. We often mistake thirst for hunger. Always carry a bottle with you. Imagine your calorie intake if you reach for a glass of water instead of a snack.
2. No bad foods... just bad portions. Okay, yes there are bad foods, but as long as you eat a nutrient rich diet the entire day, you can allow yourself to have one small serving from the bad list. (see tip 1)
3. Bathing Suit Legs... yes, they can be yours. Add lots of knee bends, lunges and marching to your daily program. Yes I did say marching. Lifting your legs will help shape those thighs. (see tip 2 on marching)
4. Get rid of the belly. Healthy foods high in fibre often contribute to gas and bloating. To avoid this, gradually increase the fibre while cutting back on fizzy soft drinks.
5. Did you know that stress can cause you to swallow a lot of air and contribute to what appears to be a belly. Breath slowly through your nose (to help calm you) and while you are at it... eat slowly.
6. Work lots of ten minute activities into your day. Imagine a walk around the block, lunges while you vacuum, playing frisbee with the kids and my favorite... power shopping.
7. Work out in the pool. You can pump your heart rate while protecting your joints from injury. Try jogging or kick boxing. Sounds like fun to me.
8. According to Patricia Bannan, a nutritian consultant, the shows you watch can either make you want to eat, or turn off the cravings. Believe it or not, you are less likely to want to snack while watching a sitcom.
9. Personal trainer Angela Selinger suggests that we look to our posture. Slumping damages our core muscles. We need to go back to those days when we were told to sit up straight and don't slouch.
10. It's easy to walk. That has to be my all time favorite form of exercise. To make it work for you, add a few extra minutes each week. You won't notice the difference, but your body will.

Tips:
Never allowing yourself foods that you love will always backfire.Allow yourself one tiny portion to satisfy the craving.

Can't see yourself marching down the street? Why not try it in the privacy of your home.

Ever wonder how celebrities like Jennifer Aniston stay in such great shape? They do it with the help of a workout regimen and a healthy eating plan. The good news is that with these diet and exercise tips, you'll be well on your way to your own great shape!

Difficulty: Average
Time Required: 3 months

Here's How:
Make a plan and set attainable goals. Commit yourself to at least 3 months of eating healthy and working out and you should definitely start seeing results. If Michelle Williams could stroll the red carpet only 6 weeks after giving birth, you can definitely see your own results after 3 months.

Find a partner. If you can't afford a personal trainer, buddy up with a friend on the same plan. The process will be easier if you have someone there to keep you motivated and vice versa. When Britney Spears was battling the post-baby weight, husband Kevin Federline was right alongside with her.

Get out there and start moving. Even if you just start by walking around the block, you'll already be increasing your heart rate and burning those calories. That's exactly how Kirstie Alley got started on her weight loss effort.

Start eating healthier. Try to maintain a diet that consists mostly of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish, and chicken. That's the type of diet that keeps Jennifer Aniston looking so lean. She follows the healthy 40/30/30 ratio of carbs, fat, and protein.

Familiarize yourself with the inside of a gym. It's not so intimidating once you know what you're doing. Have someone show you the ropes and keep trying until you find what works best for you. Denise Richards, mother of two, stays slim by lifting weights 6 times a week!

Be patient. When you first start working out, your body responds fairly quickly. After a certain period of time, your muscles begin to adjust and settle into the new routine. You may notice that the weight is dropping at a slower pace. Vary up your routine to keep your body challenged.
Don't get discouraged. Sticking to the diet and exercise plan may start to become increasingly difficult. Try to stay in the game by keeping it fresh and interesting. One week try a spinning class, and the next time try yoga. Madonna does everything from biking to yoga to horseback riding to keep her routines fresh.

Reward yourself. Each time you meet one of the goals that you've set, remember to allow yourself small rewards. This could include everything from a scoop of low-fat ice cream to a manicure and pedicure at the spa. You've worked hard to get here and you deserve it!

What You Need:
>Attainable goals
>Support of friends and family
>Healthy diet
>Workout regimen
>Strong motivation

Adriana Lima was discovered at the age of 13 by a model scout at her local mall. Since then she has become one of the worlds top supermodel and is one of the famous Victorias Secret Angels! How did she get such an amazing figure? Well it does come down to genetics too a degree but the gorgeous Brazilian supermodel does put in some work too. Her favorite form of exercise is something called Capoeira (dance, music acrobatics and choreographed play-fighting..it's a Brazilian martial art).

Like most celebrities and models who are asked about their diet and exercise regime so often she doesn't give much away. She does however say that the secret to her clear skin is to drink lots of water and get lots of rest. I'm trying to find her exact workout regime and diet. I wish I knew exactly what a supermodel ate in a day...I want a supermodel body. So many times celebrities claim they are following a generic diet of lean protein and vegetables when really they are doing some form of extreme diet.

In an industry where you are paid for looking good, the following quote from Adriana Lima just doesn't seem right. "I try to control what I eat, but the truth is I can't. I tried to give up meat last week, but I only lasted three days. I just couldn't do it. I love meat, chocolate, and cakes. For the moment I like my body. I don't think it's the best one, but I don't have anything I don't like about it-yet...I've never been to the gym, I do nothing."

That hardly seems fair! I've seen the way that the modeling agencies and fashion designers criticize models for their weight and I imagine there is a great deal of pressure for super models to be thin. Perhaps Adriana Lima doesn't eat as much as she says she does and her secret to staying so thin is portion control (only eating when you are hungry and stopping when you are full).

I have seen pictures of her smoking a cigarette, this could be to suppress her appetite. I do know girls who take up smoking to lose weight. It's ridiculous and will all come back to bite them in the future.
